Canvas breathes well and retains heat well. That can be an advantage and yet problematic. If you are camping in the desert for example you may want as much ventilation as possible. If you are camping in the cool mountains you may wish for less ventilation. The VX series is designed to solve that problem.

This newest design allows you to open windows and allow wind from any direction. Cool off in the sun while taking a nap or zip it up when the temperature drops. It is completely waterproof and zips up from the interior.

The 6041VX series is very similar to the 6014 deluxe model . In fact, the VX is officially part of the deluxe line.  What’s the difference between the two Kodiak tents?  There are two differences. The VX series has large triangular windows on the two ends. The airflow vents are absent on the VX because they are not needed, but still included on the deluxe model. Those are the small vents near the peak of the roof. They both come with the same accessories and the same back. The canvas weight on the wall roof and awning are the same and the PVC floor is identical.
